Carbon capture (CCS/CCUS) from point source industrial emitters and directly from atmosphere is the global most vital industry to solve the global climate change crisis.  

The vast majority of current CCS technologies are very expensive and commercially unfeasible as they have no profit model or revenue which makes the 2050 global climate goal is unapproachable.

SGE Hybrid Technology

The technology is based on a simple low-cost thermodynamic phase separation method to capture CO2 from industrial flue gas or from air without using any refrigerant, solvent, membrane chemicals or heat energy.

Combining 

The working principle of the technology is based on utilizing the large temperature drop resulted from the expansion processes of a pressurized flue gas/air (through an expander turbine and through direct expansion) from ambient temperature to less than the freezing point temperature of CO2 (-78.5C) to capture CO2 in a solid dry ice form and utilize the remaining super-cooled gases stream in industrial cooling, district cooling or large refrigeration to add high profitable revenue stream to the carbon capture business.

The system is highly energy efficient as +90% of the consumed electrical energy within the system is recovered from the compression thermal wasted heat, from flue gas waste heat and from the expansion energy force of the cold stream.

SGE has two main CO2 capture modules with the same working principal covering all sources of CO2 emission (point source and DAC).          

DAC-Cooling Hybrid System

This module is designed for all district air cooling, industrial cooling and all large refrigeration applications including LNG\LPG Liquefaction.

The module captures carbon as a by-product of our energy saving refrigeration process without using any refrigerant which make higher revenue stream than conventional cooling and refrigeration companies.

Hybrid point source module

This module is designed for all industrial emitters such as power plants/cement plants/steel factories/oil refinery plants/petrochemical plants/ large ships/all heavy industries.

The module captures carbon as a by-product of our flue gas waste heat energy recovery process which significantly reduces the cost of CO2 ton to be +50% less than any carbon tax which is highly profitable to all industrial emitters.
